I saw AVATAR. Against all idiots that reject it, discuss it as being about religion, politics, USA painted in a bad color, against all retards claiming suicidal tendencies and depression after having seen it, AVATAR is the most beautiful story and therefor movie i have ever seen.
And guess what, IT IS about all that. It is about a religion that has grounds, it is about politics, about the human expansion through destruction, about forcing death on to others as a weapon to gain wealth.
Did it look familiar? To some extent yes, it resembled the wipe out carried by the Spanish Conquistadors, the new Americans slaughtering the natives, the Diamond lords killing in Africa.
Maybe that is what troubled and irritated the louder voices of the critics.
But hello, this is you, people.
And beyond the feeling of guilt maybe you have no chance in seeing the bigger picture.
AVATAR felt like a dream. The narrative and the characters, the Universe of Pandora, the ways of the Na'vi, the details in the animals and the Tree of Souls - perfect notes of a perfect dream.
It's the chemistry between their world and my wishes maybe that brought me into the story to the point of breathing hard together with the characters and feeling rage with them, feeling the flight and the crashes, the words and the magic through their eyes... but whatever the explanation i think James Cameron found the perfect buttons and tuned them to the perfect nudge.
However you chose to see it - 3D, Digital, from a political sense or from a religious p.o.v., go see it.
It will win you over just because in every one of you there is a gene that feeds your heart with hope and dreams, and because AVATAR is what will shake it awake for you.
Even just for a little while before you go back to littering the streets and killing animals for a sport, or preaching the Bible only to those that have money to pay for your voice.
